FAQ

  • Why do you only offer Single Workshops For Your Flow & Grow Program and the other programs you do not?
Flow and Grow is for our youngest participants and we created a program to compliment their attention spans. The truth is, kiddos aged 2-4 are still a little too young to understand the content I provide in our character building program. Once a kiddo turns 5 they have a better understanding of the world and I can begin coaching them in a more impactful way. True growth comes from repetition and practice. A single workshop offers lots of fun and memories but Happy Grow's mission will always be aimed towards character growth. Character building is much more beneficial on a child's well-being if they are committed to at least a one month program vs. a single workshop. Please note- Our Flow & Grow Program also offers a membership in addition to single workshops so kiddos can also benefit from character building as well.
  • Should we come dressed in something specific?
I always encourage my kiddos to come dressed in whatever makes them feel best! If they want to come in a tutu or wear a specific costume, it's all welcomed! Just be mindful it needs to be clothes that they can move in and that you don't mind getting dirty. We will have aprons on for some of the activities but the goal is for them to not worry about making a mess and focus more about having fun in the process.
  • Where can I park?
ZoneFIVE studios has a small parking lot you are welcome to park at but it does fill up quick. There is plenty of parking in the surrounding areas as well.
  • What's your refund policy?
At Happy Grow, we understand that unexpected circumstances can arise, and plans may need to change. To ensure the continued viability of our small business and the ability to provide quality services to all our valued clients, we have established the following cancellation policy: 1. Cancellation Requests: If you need to cancel your workshop booking, we kindly request that you notify us at least 2 days before the scheduled workshop start date. This allows us time to fill your spot. 2. Credit Towards Future Workshops: Instead of refunds, we are pleased to offer you the opportunity to receive credit towards future workshops. This credit will be equivalent to the total amount paid for the canceled workshop and can be applied to any upcoming workshops within 6 months from the original workshop date.
  • Do I need to bring anything?
I suggest always bringing a water bottle. Sometimes a certain workshop will require you to bring something very specific for example a photo but I will always reach out to participants ahead of time. Come in comfy clothes you can move in and don't mind getting dirty!
  • Can more than 1 person join the child?
If we are at full capacity (8 students) then unfortunately, no. Just one guardian can accompany the child. I am limited in my occupancy in the space. If we are not at full capacity then please reach out to me and I would be happy to accommodate you.
  • Can we have snacks during the workshop?
I would prefer that all snacks wait until after the workshop, unless one is being offered for that particular workshop by me. But I absolutely understand the power behind a HANGRY child. I simply ask that you go to the waiting area to eat it so that the other children can stay focused.
  • Can I accompany my child to the workshop and still be able to bring their baby sibling in a carrier?
We have many awesome mamas come with their baby in a carrier or car seat. I really don't mind just as long as it doesn't take away from the child's experience who is signed up for the workshop. If your baby does cry, please feel free to go to our lobby to get them settled.
  • Do I have to be a parent to join the child for class?
Nope! Nannies, grandparents, aunts, etc. are all welcomed to join the child so long as the legal guardian of the child signs a form granting permission.
  • Does my child have to be potty trained?
No. Since the workshops require both the child and guardian to participate in the workshop, the guardian will be present to assist the child with their potty needs.
  • How often and how long are the classes?
Workshops are held for 3 consecutive Mondays in a single month every month. Why? I use that 4th week of the month to prepare for the following month. We thank you in advance for your understanding. Flow & Grow Workshops are 45 minutes long. Character Building Workshops are 60 minutes long.
  • Do I drop off my child or do I have to be with them the entire workshop.
Guardian participation is required. Children often look to trusted sources for inspiration. What better way to inspire them than by watching their own parents or loving caregivers being coached and nurturing their own strengths alongside them? Get a two for one strength coaching experience!
  • What are the age groups for your programs?
Programs are divided into 3 different age groups: *2 - 4 years of age *5 - 9 years of age Please note- sometimes I allow a 4 year old into character building because they have shown me that they are ready to take the next step. Other times I might say that a 5 year old might not be ready to begin character building based on my observations and I will suggest going to Flow & Grow until the time being. 10-14 years of age coming soon!
  • What is your schedule?
    Flow & Grow (ages 2-4) Mon: 9a, 10a, 11a Tue: 9a, 10a, 11a Thr: 9a, 10a, 11a Character Building (ages 5-9) Mon: 4p, 5:45p
  • Do you offer sibling discounts?
Yes, a 10 percent discount is given for each attending sibling. Please email me at paula@happygrowplayground prior to booking for your discount code.
  • What if my child get's disregulated in a workshop?
I will simply ask you and your child to step out into the lobby and play with our self-regulation toys until they are calm. Once calm, please come back and join us. It is very common for young children or children with behavioral issues to get disregulated. Sometimes I see the stress it causes parents and I don't ever want you to feel that in our program. Asking the parent and child to step out is a great way to regain that privacy with your child rather than trying to solve it in front of the class.
